Tax
Controversy
The
Cohen Law Group assists and represents business, nonprofit,
and individual clients in front of a variety of taxing authorities
including the Internal Revenue Service, Colorado Department
of Revenue, Colorado Department of Labor and various county
and municipal authorities. TCLG may be able to help resolve
outstanding account balances with the IRS, in some instances
for less than was originally owed, by preparing and filing
an Offer in Compromise. We may be able to assist with Installment
Agreements which allow a taxpayer to pay taxes due over a
longer period of time. We also work with the client and the
taxing authority to abate penalties and prepare and file delinquent
tax returns. When necessary or advisable, TCLG represents
clients in the United States Tax Court.
Tax Compliance & Planning
The Cohen Law Group assists clients by preparing C-corporation,
S-corporation, partnership, limited liability company, non-profit,
and individual federal and state income tax returns and related
documents. TCLG also prepares trust, gift tax and estate tax
returns. Our attorneys advise clients on tax planning to minimize
federal and state income taxes and gift and estate taxes.
The firm also advises business clients on Colorado’s
complicated sales and use tax scheme.
